Hendrix College
The area around Little Rock in Arkansas Conway is well endowed with historical features some of which are institutions, the Hendrix college was founded in 1876 as a simple primary school under the Methodist church. If you are visiting around Arkansas or in the state of Conway Hendrix college is one of the places you should pass through. Hendrix college is located in Conway a 30 minutes ride from Little rock.
For those on academic visits and research mission the school is the ideal place for you, it hosts many research facilities and offers a degree in biochemistry, biology, and sociology to mention but a few. It also offers cooperation with other universities like Columbia and Washington that allows students to graduate with two degrees one of the liberal arts from Hendrix and an engineering degree from either of the two universities.

History
The school began as a primary school that gave birth to a secondary school and later started to offer college education. The school has three buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as historic places of the 36 buildings on the campus.
Sports
The school supports extracurricular activities and host collegiate competitions and games their main competitor being the central Arkansas bears. The school’s men’s team the Hendrix College Warriors meet Central Arkansas Bears in a heated match that is attended by the Conway area residents, every once in a while. The school encourages students to participate in football, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming, and baseball. They also have a wellness and athletics center which have a fitness center and a gym for recreation that offers a dance and fitness studio.
Campus tour
You can make reservations to attend a Hendrix Experience Day or visit as a group, the school also organizes for visitors during the summer break although the students are not in session for visitors to be shown around the school. You are also welcome for an overnight visit where you get to meet the athletic team and watch the swimmers and divers in action.
Students life
A large percentage of the students live within the school premises, they provide adequate boarding facilities like coed dorms, men hostel, women hostel, apartments for single students, apartments for married students and special housing for disabled and international students.
