Mountain View is the Stone County seat and the folk-music and crafts town of the region, sitting at around 768 feet on heavily wooded Ozark plateau and ridge country. It is one of the longer drives on the list, and worth being straight about that.

A lot of the building stock here is cabins, vacation rentals and homes on wooded acreage, tied to the folk centre, the crafts trade, the caverns and the creek country rather than to a commuter economy. That changes what exterior cleaning is for: on a rental, the exterior is the first thing a guest photographs and the first thing they mention in a review.
The setting works against it. Deep forest cover, limestone and karst country, streams and cave systems all mean high ambient damp and very little direct sun on a building tucked into timber. Cabin roofs under that canopy streak early, and decking stays green on the underside almost permanently.
Because the drive out here is real, the sensible approach is to look at everything in one visit — roof, siding, decking, steps and the parking area — rather than treating each as a separate booking.
