Farms, timber and back roads.
Dennard is a few hundred people spread across a large stretch of rural Van Buren County. This is upland country — ridges, hollows, creeks, mixed hardwood forest and intermittent pasture — and it is a proper drive from anywhere, including the lake.
One of the longer runs, so it is worth grouping into one visit. House washing $330–$700, roofs $500–$2,500.

The barn is usually worse than the house.
Housing here is rural Ozark: farms, pasture acreage, modest detached homes, manufactured homes, timberland and scattered cabins. What comes with that is a lot of working structure — barns, equipment sheds, grain and hay storage, fence line — and those almost never get cleaned because nobody thinks of them as something you clean.
They are often where the visible difference is largest. A metal barn carrying years of chalky streaking, or a fence run that has gone black on the shaded face, changes how a whole property reads from the road far more than the house does.
Heavy tree cover away from the settled road corridors is the other factor. Where a house sits back in timber, growth is continuous rather than seasonal, and there is no elevation getting enough sun to keep itself clean.
