Cabot is much larger than the towns north of Conway — around 26,600 people — and overwhelmingly modern. The defining housing stock is detached tract homes from the nineties onward, one and two storey, brick veneer or brick-and-vinyl, on gently rolling and largely flat ground.

When every house matches, one dirty one stands out.
A street of tract homes built in the same year to the same two or three elevations is a very unforgiving place to have a green wall. On an older street where every property is different, a bit of weathering reads as character. On a uniform cul-de-sac it reads as the one house that has not been kept up, because there is a direct comparison either side of it.
That is the practical reason exterior cleaning matters more in Cabot than the surface area alone would suggest, and it is why the front elevation and the driveway usually get done first here even when the shaded side is technically worse.
Newer subdivisions start fairly open with young landscaping, so growth is slower to establish than it is in the wooded country up north. Mature trees concentrate in the older neighbourhoods near the historic core and along creek corridors, and those are the addresses where the north wall genuinely needs the attention.
