The Conway tennis complex is a state-of-the-art facility with eight courts, three buildings, a pro shop, a lobby, backboard, two meeting buildings an office and a storage room, it also has showers in the bathrooms and changing rooms for the players. Players have to register by the pro shop and register their intentions of playing so they can be reserved a court. The park opened on April 17th and provide an amazing outdoor experience for families and school-going children. The initial design of the court was to construct a two-story indoor facility although it was changed due to its large size that would reduce the green area in the park and the cost of construction. The complex has saved the future of tennis in Conway and the north of Arkansas at large. You can now reserve a court for yourself and other playmates, a thing that was impossible in the past.
The park is located only a few minutes’ drive from Conway, which has made it easy for local players to play and join teams. The complex offers a place for players to relax and interact later after the game or during the game. The park drew interests from all the tennis lovers from within and out of Conway Arkansas, they can now play tournaments and friendlies against each other. Players can also play single or train against the backboard.
The park and school were granted $1,000 by the United States Tennis Association Generation Initiative, to purchase tennis balls and rackets. The idea is to include tennis as a physical education where children will train after school.
More people are interested in outdoor activities, due to their vast benefits to health and fitness. Parents encourage their children to train at an early age so they can play tennis once they join high school.
