I miss biking outside. This pandemic is making me recall the different activities I used to do when I was young. I’m pretty unfit to bike now but I would like my daughter to experience the things I used to enjoy. The other day, I was looking for a place to teach my daughter how to ride a bike. I discovered a group of fields beside the Arkansas Golf Center. The Centennial Park Home Of Arkansas United
is safe for biking and kids so I thought I would combine the two. It has a loop and is flat– perfect for teaching. This place has twelve fields. Who knows, maybe she will want to join the Arkansas United Soccer Club too!
The Centennial Park Home Of Arkansas United is located at 5200 John W Allison Rd, Conway, Arkansas. If you’re driving from the city center, the best route to take is via College Ave and Dave Ward Dr. First, follow Locust St. and turn right onto College Ave. Take the third exit onto Salem Rd on the roundabout. Then, turn right onto Dave Ward Dr. Next, turn left onto Artis Ln. Note that this bends to the right and becomes John W Allison Road. You will see it on the left side after you drive past the Arkansas Golf Center.
The
Centennial Park Home Of Arkansas United is quite large with ten full-sized fields and two U10-sized fields. Four of the fields are lighted for nightly practices and matches. It has a concession stand, a referee room and air-conditioned bathrooms. It also has a function room ready for events and parties. You may reserve the fields and function room for a fee. Just contact the Arkansas United Soccer Club and they will help you out. The Centennial Soccer Park is used by the Arkansas United Soccer Club, St. Joseph High School and Central Baptist College. Several Soccer Leagues for both kids and adults also utilize the complex. If you want your kids to have an active lifestyle, like me, you can consider registering them to a soccer program. Otherwise, you and your kids can just enjoy biking around the park.
