Discovering the Bridal Veil Falls of Heber Springs, AR

The name of these waterfalls may be slightly deceiving as there’s nothing “veil like” about them. They’re also referred to as the Heber Waterfalls, but this is where you’ll find them, folks: in Heber Springs, Arkansas!

The waterfalls are actually quite large with lots of big rocks to climb around on and explore. There’s not much of a swimming area, but if you’re looking to take a dip and cool off on a hot summer day, then you’ll want to head to the Heber Springs Pool which is just a few minutes down the road.

How to Get There

The falls are reached from Arkansas Highway 25 by way of Bridal Veil Falls Road, and parking at the trailhead is free.

Bridal Veil Falls is a very popular spot, so be prepared for plenty of people. The park offers picnic tables, grills, and restrooms, but there’s no water or electricity so come prepared. This is also a great place to take your furry friends as the park is pet friendly.

If you’re looking for a beautiful and peaceful spot, the Heber Springs Waterfall will not disappoint. The surrounding landscape is gorgeous and if you’re willing to climb around a bit, you’ll have some great memories from your trip!

If you want another stop, the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery below Greers Ferry Dam raises rainbow trout and brook trout. It is a separate site from the falls, so check its visiting hours before you go.

The falls are easily accessible, making them a popular spot for visitors and locals alike. Be sure to bring your camera as there are some great photo opportunities here, especially if you can time your visit for early morning or late evening when the light is just right.

What to Do

If you want to camp or launch a boat, head to one of the nearby Corps of Engineers parks, such as JFK Park or Dam Site Park. The falls themselves have neither a campground nor a boat launch.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike to the top of the falls. The trail is steep, but the views are worth it!

If you’re looking for a place to take a dip and cool off, the Heber Springs Pool is just a few minutes down the road.
